After developing the first raw EMG prototype, Remote Physios entered a phase where belief alone was no longer enough. The vision needed structure, mentorship, resources, and institutional validation to move forward.
That pivotal moment came through the NIDHI PRAYAS Grant by IIT Mandi Catalyst.
The grant became far more than financial support. It became a strong signal that the idea of technology-enabled rehabilitation had real potential. At a stage where prototypes were still evolving and challenges appeared almost daily, the support from IIT Mandi Catalyst provided the confidence to continue building with greater clarity and commitment.
The journey until then had been driven mostly by experimentation, persistence, and self-learning. But the NIDHI PRAYAS program introduced a new phase — one where innovation began transforming into a startup ecosystem journey. Product thinking became sharper. Development processes became more structured. The vision of Remote Physios started expanding beyond a single device into a larger rehabilitation technology platform.
The grant also reinforced an important realization: physiotherapy innovation deserves a place within the deep-tech and healthcare startup ecosystem.
What once existed as an early prototype on a workbench was now beginning to receive institutional recognition. That shift created momentum, responsibility, and belief that Remote Physios could build solutions capable of impacting rehabilitation delivery at scale.
Some milestones provide funding. Others provide direction.
For Remote Physios, the NIDHI PRAYAS Grant provided both.
